We take no money from anything we score.
Routescore's job is to referee execution quality, not to sell order flow. This page is the policy that keeps that true, published so you can hold us to it.
Routescore accepts no payment, rebates, referral fees, or order flow from any venue, aggregator, or protocol it scores. Revenue comes from subscriptions paid by the people who use the scores — never from the venues being scored.
What the commitment covers
"Scored" means any venue, DEX, aggregator, bridge, solver network, or protocol that appears in a Routescore route score, venue comparison, benchmark, report, or detector output. For every one of them:
- We do not accept listing fees, placement fees, or payment to be scored or ranked.
- We do not accept rebates, revenue shares, or kickbacks tied to routed volume.
- We do not accept referral or affiliate fees for sending users to a venue.
- We do not sell, broker, or receive order flow. Routescore is read-only and non-custodial; it does not execute trades.
- Advertising from scored venues is not accepted on scoring surfaces.
The scoring inputs, weights, and formula are published and versioned on the methodology page, so the independence claim is checkable against the actual model, not taken on faith.
How a conflict would be handled
If a conflict of interest arises — financial, contractual, or personal — between the company and anything Routescore scores, the policy is disclosure first, then removal of the conflicted judgment:
- The conflict is disclosed on this page and on every affected scoring surface, dated, before or at the moment it takes effect.
- Scores are never manually adjusted to favor or penalize a party. The published, versioned methodology is the only path by which a score changes; methodology changes are recorded with a version bump on the methodology page.
- If a conflict cannot be neutralized by disclosure and the published methodology, the affected venue is marked as conflicted or removed from paid-placement-free surfaces rather than quietly rescored.
As of the effective date below, no such conflict exists: no venue, aggregator, or protocol scored by Routescore has any commercial relationship with the company.
This policy binds partnership decisions
Partnerships, integrations, and distribution deals are evaluated against this charter before anything else. Any arrangement that would create a payment, rebate, referral, or order-flow relationship with a scored party is declined, regardless of commercial value. A partnership that survives that test still never touches the scoring: partners get no input into weights, methodology, calibration, or the ordering of any comparison.
If this policy ever changes, the change will be posted on this page with notice and an explicit effective date — not applied silently.
How you can check us
- Methodology is published and versioned. The scoring formula, inputs, weights, and caveats live at /methodology, with a schema version and detector version stated on the page.
- Calibration will be published when its eligibility gates clear. We hold calibration results against pre-committed sample-size and independent-source gates; the public calibration page ships once a cohort clears them, not before. Until then, no calibration accuracy claim is made.
- Limitations are documented. Unsupported assets, freshness states, and coverage limits are listed at /limitations — a neutral referee has to say what it does not cover.
